About Me

I’m an Electronic/Rap producer and artist. I make music to make me and my listeners grow, by challenging perceptions and asking questions.

My sound is a musical summary of the city that I have lived in most of my life. It is a microcosm of the globe. It is London. My music is a reflection of the UK's and particularly London's musical melting pot with inspiration drawn from Hip-Hop, Grime, Dancehall, Rock, Alt R'n'B, Drum and Bass, House, UK Garage, Electronica, World and Spoken Word. Imagine Outkast, The Streets and MIA having a jam.

My story is one of triumph in adversity. I completely lost my voice for 2 month and doctors kept telling me it was just a virus. It took speech therapy, counselling and 5 long years to recover! Ironically this recovery time coincided with me getting airplay on BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra and a production credit on a Vybz Kartel track!

You see I decided to turn a big problem into an opportunity. I used this time to take online production courses with Berklee School of Music and Point Blank Online. Production allowed me to express myself in ways that my voice could not at the time.

I now make music with a focus on big beats and deep lyrics. It makes you want to move, and yet still challenges you to think.

I'm also a broadcaster, writer and blogger. More on that below, after you've heard some tracks. You can check them out in the next section.

Hold Your Hand - Vocal Drum & Bass

My most recent release. This is an exciting dancefloor banger with plenty of sing-along factor for cars and living rooms. I made it with a singer I met on Twitter! She followed me by accident. The rest, as the say, is history.

It is available to download and stream from all usual platforms such as Spotify, or you can get it directly from my bandcamp store here.

N-u-k-l-e-a and Me Against The World

A couple of cheek tracks made under another alias before the speech therapy madness.

I have blogged for various sites, over the last few years. I am currently primarily writing for music industry website Music Gateway. I've even written a piece on behalf of them for global music industry event Midem titled How Do Publishers Find New Talent.

If you're related to the music industry in anyway, including Radio, TV and Print/Blogs, and are happy to share your ideas and knowledge, feel free to get in touch.
